Q2 What do you do as a freelancer?

I am an art consultant and I manage art collections.

Q3 How long have you been doing it for?

Nearly 30 years

Q4 What inspired you to become a freelancer?

Working as a freelancer suits my personality. I don’t fit working in top-down environments. That’s not to say all companies are structured this way. I am entrepreneurial.

Q5 What do you think the benefits of being a freelancer are?

Working as a freelancer gives me the freedom to structure work to my personality, which is definitely self-motivated and very driven.

Q6 What are the biggest challenges you think freelancers face at the moment?

Challenges are about decision-making. Personally, I feel there are no challenges I cannot overcome.

Q7 What do you think is the best resource you have found to use as a freelancer?

My inner-drive is my best resource.

Q8 What one piece of advice would you give to other/aspiring freelancers?

Give yourself structure and find joy in making commercial decisions.

Q9 What is your favourite project you have ever worked on?

I have worked on some great projects over the years. My favourites by a long shot are filling up clients’ homes with artwork and having the creative freedom to curate their collections. Best fun ever!
