Q4 What inspired you to become a freelancer?
When I became a mum and couldn’t find a job I was looking at other options that suits my family.
Q5 What do you think the benefits of being a freelancer are?
I make my own decisions, work around my family, independent, break up my days
Q6 What are the biggest challenges you think freelancers face at the moment?
to always have to put yourself out there to get business and show that you’re different then others. It’s a lot up and down with work load (not much stability until people know you and you get recommended)
Q7 What do you think is the best resource you have found to use as a freelancer?
social media platforms and local networking groups like tradingmate etc.
Q8 What one piece of advice would you give to other/aspiring freelancers?
don’t give up. It’s definitely worth if you’re passionate enough. Challenges can be tricky, but once solved it’s very satisfying.
Q9 What is your favourite project you have ever worked on?
A travel guide for the Pilbara and a welcome signage for the Broome Airport.
